One of the important activities under the economic empowerment component of Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Yojana is a programme related to Skill Development Training of girls/women from families whose annual income is less than Rs.60 thousand (PoP) or are in BPL on service sector trades viz: (i) Computers, (ii) Beautician, (iii) Housekeeping, (iv) Nursery Teacher Training, (v) Bed Side Patient Attendant, (vi) Tailoring, (vii) Mobile repairing, (viii) Driving and (ix) Plumbing.
The trainings are to be conducted in major towns of Bihar across the state such as Patna, Muzaffarpur, Auragnabad, Sasaram, Bhagalpur, Munger, Gaya, Darbhanga, Chapra, Purnea, Begusarai, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Madhubani, Buxar and Saharsa etc.
n order to raise the status of women from below the poverty line category of the society and to equip them with necessary skills so that they become economically independent, women and girls from lower income groups are assisted to take up job oriented courses. Widows and disabled Women are given preference. Under this scheme the selected women and girls are provided training by experienced and qualified training institutions/organizations.
